Terms of Service for AmniShield & AmniBlur

Effective Date: August 20, 2026 · Version: 2.0 (Ecosystem Master Terms)

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using AmniShield, AmniBlur, or the AmniShield Web Console (collectively provided by Al-Haq Studio, "we," "our," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use our software.

2. Open-Source Core & Supporter Pass Model

  • 100% Free Core Protection Forever: Core distraction blocking, 50,000+ domain filter, local keyword filtering, custom focus schedules, advanced focus modes ("Block Selected" and "Block All"), mindful pause spaces, behavioral screen time analytics, and on-device AI visual blurring (LiteRT/TensorFlow.js) are free and open-source forever.
  • Pro Security Suite (Supporter Pass): The Supporter Pass exists to support Privacy-first Open Source Software and Development and fund the Al-Haq Initiative and its community access or free access programs (helping to maintain and expand it). In return, supporters unlock on-device advanced security and anti-tamper capabilities:
    • Anti-Uninstall Protection: Device Admin & Accessibility Service enforcement preventing unauthorized removal or force-stopping.
    • Anti-Tamper PIN Protection: Centralized 4-digit master PIN securing all blocker configurations.
    • Per-Rule Anti-Tamper PIN Blocking: Individual rule locking requiring PIN verification before modifying or deleting active blocks.
    • App Launch PIN Protection: 4-digit PIN access lock for the AmniShield app itself.
    • Flexible Security Cooldown: Configurable waiting delay (2 to 30 minutes, 5-minute recommended default) for forgotten PIN resets and emergency overrides.
  • Supporter Pass Pricing:
    • Monthly Supporter Pass: $4.99 per month (auto-renewing until canceled).
    • Annual Supporter Pass: $39.99 per year (auto-renewing until canceled, includes 33% discount).
    • Lifetime Patron: $89.99 one-time contribution (perpetual access, no recurring fees).
  • Pre-Registration Reward & Founder Pass Program: Early adopters who pre-register for AmniShield on Google Play or participate via our open-source F-Droid community journey are eligible for a complimentary 3-month Full Security Suite pass (amnishield_founder_pass), lifetime access to the Founder Obsidian Gold theme, a verified supporter badge, and optional inclusion on our public Supporters Wall. 3. Roadmapped Features & Experimental Beta Status

Certain advanced roadmap features—including Cross-Device Cloud Sync, Web Console Fleet Management, and Remote Device Linking—are currently in active experimental beta development. These features are not sold as turnkey production deliverables. Supporter Pass holders receive early opt-in access to test these features as they stabilize, with complete privacy guarantees and zero browsing history collected.

4. Emergency Calling & Public Safety Exclusions

AmniShield is strictly a personal self-discipline and digital wellness utility. Under no circumstances does AmniShield block or interfere with emergency calls or public safety services. Emergency dialers (including 911, 999, 112, and local emergency dispatch services), emergency SOS features, active system keyboards (IMEs), and default home launchers are hard-coded as non-blockable at the core engine level.

5. Offline Cryptographic Licensing

AmniShield Pro security features utilize offline NIST P-256 ECDSA public key cryptography (`SHA256withECDSA`). Your license key contains a digitally signed payload that validates entirely on your local hardware. You do not need an active internet connection to maintain Pro features once your key is activated.

6. Guardian / Parental Control Mode Responsibilities

AmniShield includes a Guardian Mode for family and parental device management. By utilizing Guardian Mode to enforce non-bypassable app blocking, web filters, and master PIN protection on secondary devices, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the parent, legal guardian, or authorized owner of the managed device.
  • You will use the service in compliance with all applicable child safety, privacy, and digital protection laws.
  • You will not use Guardian Mode to unlawfully stalk, coerce, or harass adult individuals without their informed consent.

7. Payment Processing & Subscriptions

All payments for Supporter Passes are processed through Stripe via secure SSL/TLS encryption. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled prior to the renewal date via the Customer Portal in the Web Console. Cancellation retains access until the end of the paid billing period.

8. System Permissions & Platform Limitations

AmniShield relies on Android and desktop operating system APIs (including Accessibility Services, Usage Access, and MediaProjection screen overlay services) to enforce content boundaries. Disabling required platform permissions or device battery optimizations may impede automatic background enforcement.

9. Religious, Wellness & Accuracy Disclaimers

AmniShield provides digital wellness, modesty, and focus tools in good faith to assist users in maintaining wholesome screen habits. While our on-device LiteRT neural models and domain filters achieve high accuracy, no automated filtering algorithm is 100% infallible. AmniShield is an aid to intentional habit formation, not a substitute for personal mindfulness or parental guidance.

10. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer

AmniShield is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In no event shall Al-Haq Studio or the Al-Haq Initiative be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software.
